The City of Sheboygan will be holding a Primary Spring election for Wards 15 and 16 only for Alderperson District 8 on February 17, 2026.

In-person Absentee Voting Dates for the Spring Primary 2026 are:
February 3rd-5th: 7:30 am – 4:30 pm
February 6th: 7:30 am – 11:00 am
February 9th-12: 7:30 am – 4:30 pm
February 13th 7:30 am – 11:00 am; registrations until 5:00 pm by appointment only

There are a few options for returning your MAILED Absentee Ballot:
- Mail it back. The United States Postal Service recommends mailing your ballot at least one week before Election Day. Returning a ballot from overseas may take longer.
- Official Ballot Drop Box – Drive-thru of Mead Public Library parking lot (710 N. 8th Street). Until NOON on Election Day.
- Drop it off at the City Clerk’s Office – until NOON on Election Day. Entrance/parking are on the north side of City Hall – 828 Center Avenue.
- Drop it off at your polling place on Election Day between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Check Registration Status
- Go to myvote.wi.gov
- Select “Search by Name” at the top right of screen
- Enter your first name, last name, and birth date
- Click on the “Search by Name” button
- When you click, you should see your voter status and name and address
- Your current voter registration information will appear
- You may change your registration by selecting “Update Name” or Update Address”
- If your name doesn’t appear, select “Register to Vote”
Photo ID is Required to Vote
The following are the most common forms of ID that are acceptable for voting purposes. They can be unexpired or expired after the date of the most recent general election (currently, the November 5, 2024 election).
- A Wisconsin DOT-issued driver license, even if driving privileges are revoked or suspended
- A Wisconsin DOT-issued identification card
- Military ID card issued by a U.S. uniformed service
- A U.S. passport
