Join the Mayor’s International Committee and Mead Public Library to send Valentine’s cards to Sheboygan Sister Cities!
From February 2–14, children are invited to make Valentines and deposit them in the special mailbox located on the 3rd floor of Mead Public Library. The cards will be sent to students in Sheboygan’s sister cities of Tsubame, Japan and Esslingen, Germany. Materials will be available, allowing visitors to make Valentines on site or bring them for drop-off in the sister cities’ mailbox.
Valentines should be made using paper no larger than 8.5” x 11”. They can be decorated with crayons, markers, pencils, stickers, and paints, but are asked not to use glitter or sealed envelopes. All Valentines will be inspected prior to mailing.
The Valentines will be mailed by members of the Mayor’s International Committee after inspection.
Area schools are also invited to participate.
It is the hope of Mead Public Library and the Mayor’s International Committee that residents will participate in this fun, friendship-building activity to help foster global goodwill and cultural engagement.
