Sheboygan, Wisconsin – September 5, 2024 – The City of Sheboygan is excited to announce, “Ride with Ryan,” a community bike tour led by Mayor Ryan Sorenson on September 14th at 1 pm, starting from City Hall. This event, facilitated by Sheboygan Active Transportation, aims to engage residents in shaping the city’s future as part of the upcoming Comprehensive Plan development process.
The 7-mile casual ride will take participants through various neighborhoods, showcasing Sheboygan’s current infrastructure while discussing plans and possibilities for the next 20 years. Mayor Sorenson will lead discussions at several stops along the route, encouraging community input on the city’s vision.
“This bike tour is an innovative way to involve our residents in the planning process,” said Mayor Ryan Sorenson. “By experiencing our city on two wheels, we can better understand the challenges and opportunities for improving our transportation infrastructure and overall community development.”

For those without bicycles, rentals are available at Green Bicycle Co. on 8th Street for a small fee. Interested participants should contact the shop in advance to reserve a bike.
Following the ride, attendees are encouraged to explore local art during Gallery Night, which will be taking place throughout Downtown and Uptown Sheboygan.
This event aligns with the city’s ongoing efforts to improve biking and walking infrastructure, as well as its pursuit of a “Complete Streets” policy to enhance road safety for all users.
