Trick or Treating 2024 Date Announced

October 1, 2024 by Veronica Valdez

Trick or Treating for the City of Sheboygan will take place on Thursday, October 31, 2024, from 4PM-7PM.

πŸ‘£ Pedestrian Safety Tips:

Stay Visible: Use reflective costumes or carry flashlights! πŸ”¦

Stick to the Sidewalk: Walk on sidewalks and cross at crosswalks! πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ

Look Both Ways: Always check for traffic before crossing streets! 🚦

πŸš— Enhanced Driver Safety Tips:

Slow Down: Reduce your speed in neighborhoods, particularly during trick-or-treating hours! This will give you extra time to react if kids suddenly cross the road. 🐒

Be Extra Alert: Keep your eyes peeled for children who might dart out from between parked cars or unexpectedly enter the roadway! πŸ‘€

Limit Distractions: Stay focused and avoid using your phone or engaging in other distractions while driving. Your full attention is crucial! πŸ“΅

Watch for Costumes: Costumes can be harder to see, so stay vigilant and ready to stop.

🚧 Important Reminder: Please keep an eye out for sidewalks and roadways under construction. 🚧 Several utility projects are ongoing, so even if you see sidewalk construction, other utility services are happening concurrently.

Let’s make this Halloween a fun and safe experience for everyone! πŸŽ‰πŸ‘»πŸ¬

Severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon into tonight. If storms develop during the afternoon to early evening hours, they will rapidly become severe (hail, wind, and tornadoes all possible). Keep an eye on the skies today and be sure to have a shelter plan! #wiwx #swiwx

Off and on chances for showers and thunderstorms, with the exception of Friday night through Sunday (with generally dry and quiet weather). A few rumbles of thunder possible late tonight into Fri AM, but the main focus for storm potential is Monday/Tuesday next week. #wiwx
