SHEBOYGAN, WI — The City of Sheboygan Department of Planning and Development, in partnership with the Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission, has released the draft update of the City’s Comprehensive Plan and Future Land Use Map for public review.
The Comprehensive Plan serves as a long-term policy guide for the City’s growth and development, addressing topics such as land use, housing, economic development, transportation, infrastructure, and community facilities. The City’s current Comprehensive Plan was last updated in 2011. Updating the plan ensures the City remains in compliance with Wisconsin State Statutes while reflecting current community priorities and development trends.
The draft plan includes an updated Future Land Use Map, which is intended to guide future development and redevelopment decisions throughout the community.
Community members will also have an opportunity to learn more about the draft plan and share input at two public open house sessions hosted by Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission.
