Sheboygan, Wisconsin – September 12, 2024 – The City of Sheboygan’s Department of Planning and Development invites all residents to participate in an important Community-Wide Needs Survey to help prioritize the city’s community development and housing needs for the upcoming 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan. This plan, required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), will guide the allocation of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for the next five years.
The online survey is available from September 12, 2024, through October 31, 2024 and can be accessed in English, Spanish, and Hmong. Residents are encouraged to share their insights on the following key topics:
- Housing
- Services for Unhoused Persons
- Community Services
- Assistance to Local Businesses
- Community Facilities
Why Your Input Matters
Your feedback is essential to determining how public funds are used to address Sheboygan’s most pressing needs. We strongly encourage all Sheboygan residents to take part in this survey and have a say in the future of our community’s development.
Submitting Physical Copies
For those who prefer to complete a physical copy of the survey, completed forms can be submitted at the Planning and Development office located on the 2nd floor of City Hall, Suite 208.
The survey results, along with other data analyses, will help inform the development of the Consolidated Plan. Findings will be available on the City of Sheboygan’s website: www.sheboyganwi.gov in the coming months.
