Sheboygan, Wisconsin – August 6, 2024 – In accordance with the recent Wisconsin Supreme Court decision in Priorities USA v. WEC, the City of Sheboygan has reinstalled a secure Ballot Drop Box in the drive-thru lane of the Mead Public Library. This drop box is now in service and will be open to voters 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, allowing them to conveniently deposit their completed absentee ballots.
To ensure all ballots are properly counted, the deposit slot will lock at noon on Election Day, enabling timely delivery to respective polling locations. The Ballot Drop Box conforms with the recommended best practices for security measures provided by the Wisconsin Elections Commission.
Voters may return absentee ballots through the following methods:
1. City Clerk’s Office (828 Center Avenue): Prior to noon on Election Day.
2. United States Postal Service: Must be received by the City Clerk’s Office by Election Day.
3. Specific Polling Location: On Election Day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
4. Drop Box – Drive-thru at Mead Public Library (710 N. 8th St.): Prior to noon on Election Day.
